Job DescriptionMachine Operator

Location: Mebane, NC, 27302

Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our facility in Mebane, NC. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

Set up machinery for operation
Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
Perform quality control checks on products
Adjust machine settings as needed
Clean and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance
Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
Set up CNC machines based on job specifications and blueprints.
Load raw materials into the machine and install appropriate cutting inserts.
Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software to perform machining operations.
Monitor machine operation and adjust settings as necessary to ensure product quality and accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
Use precision measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Document production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and part measurements.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to understand part specifications and dimensions.

Salary info:

$20 - $23.10 / hr
