Founded in 1986 as a partnership between Nittoku and Autoneum, **UGN** is the preferred producer of high quality acoustic, interior trim, and thermal management products, and a recognized leader in customer satisfaction for the Japanese transplant automotive industry in North America. UGN, with more than $400 million in revenue, has six locations in the United StatesNovi, Michigan; Jackson, Tennessee; Monroe, Ohio; Somerset, Kentucky; Tinley Park, Illinois; and Valparaiso, Indiana; as well as a location in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexicospecializing in manufacturing, research, development, testing, and service support.
The sixth UGN facility in Monroe, Ohio, officially opened in September 2015. The state-of-the-art facility has more than 475 team members and supplies Honda Motor Co. with superior acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies. In the fall of 2018, UGN expanded the Monroe plant by adding another 150,000 square feet to the $50 million, 232,500 square foot facility to supply Toyota and Subaru.
The **Material Handler/Forklift Driver** performs all driving and related functions in the movement of materials necessary for the operation of the Shipping/Receiving and Manufacturing departments.
**Responsibilities:**
Perform pre-start checklist on forklift.
Load and unload incoming and out-going trucks to meet customer and UGN requirements.
Verify incoming materials for correctness, quantity and damage and place in designated locations.
Stage orders to be shipped and verify.
Unload customer returns and rejected materials in designated areas and notify Quality Control.
Obtain weights on special and UPS shipments.
Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse, storage areas, and docks, removing and dumping trash
or removing recyclables from these and manufacturing areas as necessary to maintain housekeeping.
Supply manufacturing with raw materials and shipping containers as required to support production.
Maintain cleanliness and operation of equipment.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Other duties may be assigned.
**Qualifications:**
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
Desire hardworking team members who are interested in growth opportunities
Previous manufacturing industry experience preferred
Forklift license preferred; government issued driver's license required.
