Duties:

Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist

Provide therapeutic interventions and activities to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being

Help patients develop or regain daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding

Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to assess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence

Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred

Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and their application in occupational therapy

Ability to work effectively in acute care settings and occupational health environments
