Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description:
The Lathe Operator performs detailed machine setups, G & M code (CNC) programming, machine process improvement and troubleshooting, and produces machined parts using both CNC and manual lathes. The shift is Monday – Thursday working 10-hour days starting at 3pm; includes a 20% shift differential.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operation of production processes
- In-process inspection of parts with provided gages
- Comparing production parts to drawing specifications and troubleshooting/reporting machine and production process issues to supervisor
- Produces at quantity and quality levels in accordance with Company's requirements
- Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company's policy
- Maintains area, workbenches, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition
- Follow all Company policies, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security
- Fill in as needed in other departments
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certificate in relevant discipline is a plus
- 2+ years experience machining
- Must be able to perform basic production shop mathematics
- Must have knowledge of machining principles and various machining technologies
- Must be able to perform tool changes
- Must be able to operate precision measurement tools
- Must have strong understanding of standard CNC controllers FANUC
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints
- Must have demonstrated mechanical ability
- Must be able to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
