The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
• Certification Board for Music Therapists
• State music therapy licensing where required
• At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric healthcare
• At least six (6) months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness healthcare

This role requires providing consistent professional music therapy in accordance with company protocols and accepted certification practices. The selected candidate will:

• Effectively inform and educate patients, staff, and facility partners about music therapy
• Establish therapy objectives as part of the patient assessment
• Plan, review, and assess therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and aid in subsequent session planning
• Take an active role in sessions by playing instruments, singing, and listening
• Encourage patients to participate in sessions and support them musically and improvisationally
• Support the patient's creative development and facilitate positive changes in behavior and well-being

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on location and experience.
