- Work with internal teams such as accounting, finance, manufacturing and distribution to develop reports useful in understanding freight costs and patterns
- Respond to carrier inquiries about operational issues and find long-term solutions
- Assist internal teams with shipping and logistics processes
- Develop reporting to ensure Dish employees are adhering to business rules regarding shipping
- Analyze transportation data to look for opportunities to improve processes and recommend best practices
- Participate in quarterly business reviews with our freight payment vendor and transportation partners as necessary
- Assist internal teams with other tasks as needed which may include data entry, reporting and analysis, partner management, and more
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university
- 2+ years of experience working in transportation with freight carriers (truckload and LTL) and/or parcel carriers
- 1+ years of data analysis experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Advanced skills and experience with Excel
- Prior experience maintaining TMS platforms
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to find opportunities for improving efficiency
- Ability to convey findings from complex data sets with use of easy to understand charts, graphs, and observations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely to department leadership and executives
- Ability to facilitate meetings with partners, stakeholder and leadership
- Familiarity with SQL and ability to write basic queries
