    Senior ETL Developer Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Senior ETL Developer to design, implement, and optimize ETL processes for multiple data sources using SQL, SSIS, or similar ETL tools. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful project outcomes within specified timelines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and analyze data integration projects across different stages of the product lifecycle.
    • Locate, evaluate, and profile source data to assess quality and guide business logic.
    • Develop and execute complex data integration workflows that span various business and technical areas.
    • Contribute to database design and data modeling initiatives.
    • Develop queries optimized for high performance and adjust SQL queries for peak efficiency.
    • Oversee deployment and monitoring of data integration projects.
    • Offer guidance on performance improvements for ETL processes.
    • Identify data quality issues and suggest solutions to cleanse or enhance data quality.
    • Troubleshoot data-related problems, validate results, and propose process improvements.
    • Update and maintain relevant documentation.
    • Be available for operational support during non-standard hours and participate in on-call rotations for production support.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • 7-10 years of industry experience in ETL development.
    • Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and project design.
    • Experience with performance tuning for SSIS packages.
    • Proficiency with most SSIS components, tasks, and transformations.
    • Ability to execute scripts using .NET and stored procedures.
    • Strong general ETL skills, including incremental and full data loads, deduplication, and data transformation.
    • Familiarity with junk dimensions, bridge tables, and degenerate dimensions.
    • Experience with various ETL frameworks and architectural models.
    • Knowledge of SQL Server 2014, 2016, and above.
    • Skills in database performance tuning and query analysis.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Experience working on large-scale enterprise projects with diverse teams.
