Job summary
This is an entry-level position responsible for interpreting state and local ordinances codes reviewing issuing various permits conducting field inspections enforcing building erosion sediment control codes ordinances.The Building Official performs technical skilled inspection work areas of expertise including residential commercial public industrial buildings structures during various stages of construction alteration renovation repair.
They must work independently exercise individual judgement when applying standards different situations explain building related terminology code compliance issues efficiently.
