- Performs such individual assignments as his supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and disciplined in their application.
- Knowledge is typically evidenced by a minimum of a bachelor's degree in one or more of the engineering sciences.
- Typically has 10 or more years of progressively more difficult assignments and is an accepted expert in his/her field.
- 10 plus years of engine and fuel system calibration experience.
- Hands on experience with machining, metal fabrication, and plastics.
- Strong effective communicator both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment of constant change.
- Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment.
- Previous experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry is a plus.
- Experience working in a multi-channel retail business/industry.
- 5 to 15 years in a product design or manufacturing technical role.

Primary Purpose:
The Mechanical Engineer V is responsible for evaluating and leading product design concepts, development of mechanical concepts, and generating final mechanical drawings for products and/or manufacturing tooling. This position supports the activities of both engineering and production / manufacturing.
