    Description
    Our large manufacturing client located in Sanford, North Carolina, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer, to add to their team.

    Position's Contributions to Work Group:

    -Will directly support Manufacturing Engineers and assembly on plant floor through design and documentation of layout, tooling, fixtures, material handling systems, safety, and ergonomics and other duties as assigned.

    Typical task breakdown:
    • Owns an area of the line. Would be responsible for ensuring their standard work is up to date and as clear as possible, eliminate/reduce any safety risks in the area, and overall find ways to help the area work as efficiently as possible.
    • Everyday is different and brings new sets of challenges.
    Interaction with team:
    • Task will be with team; mainly group tasks
    • Work with operations quality and design engineering teams (potentially maintenance team)
    Work environment:

    Some office work (roughly 60% of time), on shop floor (roughly 40% of time)

    Education & Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (manufacturing, industrial, mechanical)
    • 2-4 years of relevant experience
    • Would consider associate's degree with 4+ years of experience
    Technical Skills

    (Required)
    • 1 year of relevant work experience in Manufacturing Engineering
    • 1 year of relevant work experience in Project Management
    • Knowledge and experience with New Product Introductions
    • 3 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of Standard Assembly Tools and their applications
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Operations/Industrial Planning Experience
    • Proficiency in writing Standard Work
    • Experience reading and interpreting engineering prints
