    We are looking for a Director of Product Management responsible for the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data, product analytics, and AI across the Rakuten Rewards product portfolio with a goal of providing the right information at the right time via the right tools. You will lead a small team of product managers and partner with a highly skilled, highly motivated team of engineers, in a role that directly impacts the trajectory of the company. Interested?

    Responsibilities:

    Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for leveraging data to drive impact business decisions and the development of user-centric, lovable shopping experiences.

    Become a central point for all data, product analytics, and AI platform needs, including model development, data security, privacy, data governance, and cost monitoring

    Collaborate with product development teams and stakeholders within the organization to identify data-related needs and effectively evaluate, prioritize, and execute an impactful roadmap

    Provide thought leadership and supervisory functions for Product Managers responsible for leveraging data to achieve commercial goals and mitigate compliance risk

    Be able to work in a fast-paced environment to make decisions Step in as needed to address problems, or cover unexpected gaps in the data and analytics platform

    Remain ahead of the curve on all processes, techniques, tools, and industry best practices to ensure Rakuten is at the forefront of data and analytics solutions in the marketplace

    Qualifications:

    10+ years of in-depth product management experience, including 4+ years experience leading people.

    Deep experience working with products with large data sets, ideally in a Cloud-based Big Data environments

    Detail-oriented and organized. Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be ready to get into the tech and help out if that is what is needed to succeed

    Experience working with the Data Quality, Data Cataloging, Data Governance, and Data Syndication tools preferred

    Working knowledge of common tools and technologies including SQL, Python, etc.

    Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field

    Strong oral and written communication skills, including an ability to efficiently collaborate with both business and technical teams, engage and influence senior leaders, and make impactful customer presentations.

    At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $155, $298, Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
