Job Title: Senior Estimator - On-Site (Fort Worth, TX)

Total Experience: 5-8 years

Primary Skillsets: Construction Estimator

Secondary Skillsets: Bluebeam, AutoCAD, PlanSwift

POSITION SUMMARY:

• We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team in Fort Worth.
• The ideal candidate will possess 5-8 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of success.
• The Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading and overseeing the estimation process, providing accurate and detailed cost estimates, and managing the entire takeoff process.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• The candidate should have expertise in reviewing plan sets, blueprints, and drawings, as well as experience with construction projects, contracts, and the bidding process.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the takeoff, spreadsheet input, and analysis of plans, specs, construction notes, and details.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost analyses, metrics, and calculate material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs for construction items.
• Conduct thorough quantity analysis, cost analysis, labor estimates, and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules based on bid document information.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services, providing management with strategic insights for the bidding process.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of estimates and proposals.
• Provide expert conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
• Utilize advanced estimate computer software to present detailed information to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
• 5-8 years of successful experience in estimating various construction projects, with a demonstrated ability to lead and oversee the estimation process.
• Expertise in material takeoffs or construction takeoff to provide accurate estimates.
• Proven ability to schedule, lead, and document meetings effectively.
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements, with the ability to develop comprehensive action plans for estimates and project construction.
• Proficiency in reviewing plansets, blueprints, and drawings.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with TakeOff and Estimating Software such as PlanSwift, BlueBeam, Procore, etc.
• Proficient computer application skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
