- Patient/Community Relations- Ensures that unit (s) are effective and responsible to patients and member of the community.
- Provides leadership and direction for staff in accordance with organizational and departmental goals and objectives.
- Employee Relations Creates positive climate within unit and sets high performance standards.
- Justifies/maintains fiscal plan (budget) for patient care unit. Monitors patient, expenses, & operating expenses (salaries & capital expense items) & provides appropriate reports to nursing administration
- Possession of a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State required. RequiredCertificate in a nurse specialty preferred
- Baccalaureate required.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
