Youngstown, Ohio

A Company located in Youngstown, Ohio is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our dynamic team. The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for our team.

Responsibilities:

• Researches possible item selections and takes inventory of current products.
• Negotiating deals with suppliers
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
• Works closely with the Warehouse to ensure proper delivery of product
• Interact with product vendors to track product availability and lead times, issue purchase orders, and resolve issues and escalate, as needed
• Analyze data, plan purchases, stock levels, min/max & safety stock levels to optimize inventory
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Initiate purchase orders and track their status with product vendors, ensure proper lead times
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent / Buyer is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formula creation, data analysis, and report generation.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
