    Job Opportunity Overview

    The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist plays a crucial role in supporting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, as well as other related procedures.

    • This includes direct patient care and post-procedure hemostasis management for both adult and pediatric patients undergoing myocardial biopsy, transluminal coronary angioplasty, stenting rotational atherectomy temporary pacemaker insertion pericardiocentesis Swan-Ganz catheter insertion cardiac assist device insertion percutaneous valvuloplasty peripheral vascular diagnostic interventional procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:



    • Supporting cardiologists with patient positioning, imaging guidance navigation radiographic control image acquisition transfer diagnostics interpretation consultation decision-making therapeutic intervention procedural monitoring staff communication discharge planning follow-up evaluation documentation chart completion medical record processing coding auditing compliance HIPAA administrative tasks quality assurance process improvement project implementation budget adherence department coordination personnel oversight resource allocation team collaboration goal setting strategic planning.

    • Select appropriate equipment for procedure conduct calibrate validate check maintain troubleshoot repair sterilize replace restock perform routine maintenance schedules inventory tasks restocking supplies ordering requesting quartermaster procurement purchasing implementing logistics supply chain operations clinical trials research grant programs fund administration interdisciplinary liaison relationships data collection analysis report presentation findings publication dissemination education training certification continuing professional development recertification protocols
