    Description
    LPN/RN Job Description:
    • Participating in the assessment of the patient's physical and mental health, including the patient's reaction to illnesses and treatment regimens.
    • Recording and reporting the results of the nursing assessment.
    • Participating in implementing the health care plan developed by the registered nurse and/or prescribed by any person authorized by State law to prescribe such a plan, by performing tasks assigned or delegated by and performed under the supervision or under orders or directions of a registered nurse, physician licensed to practice medicine, dentist, or other person authorized by State law to provide the supervision.
    • Assigning or delegating nursing interventions to other qualified personnel under the supervision of the registered nurse. e. Participating in the teaching and counseling of patients as assigned by a registered nurse, physician, or other qualified professional licensed to practice in North Carolina.
    • Reporting and recording the nursing care rendered and the patient's response to that care.
    • Maintaining safe and effective nursing care, whether rendered directly or indirectly.
    Other Tasks:
    • Seeks and obtains sufficient information necessary to function effectively in the health care setting where assigned.
    • Completes, maintains, and submits accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding the client's condition and care given and submits documentation in a timely fashion.
    • Assists the client's family/caregiver and other health care personnel in providing continuity of care.
    • Promotes and maintains an Agency environment that is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
    • Supervises ancillary personnel and delegates responsibilities when required.
    • Fulfills the obligation of requested and/or accepted case assignments.
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the agency's clinical and administrative officers.
    • Assists with investigations whether directly or indirectly involved or not.
