    Description

    Position Purpose


    As a general, clinical gastroenterologist, employee will provide clinical services to persons who present with diseases of the digestive system and manage complex digestive conditions.

    The position requires the ability to admit, work up, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to adult patients with conditions and diseases of the digestive system.

    Position require completion of a clinical gastroenterology fellowship or meet previous experience requirements.


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    Ability to function effectively in an integrated delivery system.


    • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulatory rules;
    • Capable of operating business units in conformance with good quality and business practices as may be outlined by agencies such as The Joint Commission, NCQA, MGMA, etc.
    • Effective leadership skills (and leading by example);
    • Ability to obtain results with minimal disruption while involving a variety of internal and external groups.
    • Ability to work independently.
    This position does provide patient care.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:
    Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in medical specialty.

    License(s):
    Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Medical Doctor license. Current and valid Nevada Medical License required.


    Certification(s):
    Medical staff privileges at Carson Valley Medical Center. Current BLS and ACLS certification by The American Heart Association standards.


    Computer / Typing:


    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
