    Description


    As a Project Manager III, you will manage and oversee all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget.

    You are responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, stakeholders, and outside vendors.

    You will prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project as well as contribute to moderately complex aspects of lighting and electrical projects.

    Your work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.


    Responsibilities:


    Directs and manages large and complex lighting project development from beginning to endDefines project scope, goals and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDevelops full-scale project plans and associated communications documentsCommunicates project expectations to team members and stakeholdersLiaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basisEstimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goalsSets and manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholdersDrives project profitability and ensures no back charges.

    Manages project handoff so that transition from quotations manager is smooth and nothing 'drops through the cracks'.Proactively reviews projects and effectively communicates all issues with all stakeholders to drive 'best of class' project management.

    Develops employees to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement toolsFunctions as leader for continuous improvement eventsAligns activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery and costPerforms root cause analysis on gaps, identifies waste, and works with leadership to drive sustainable corrective actionDrafts and submits budget proposals for Change Orders and recommends subsequent budget changesNegotiates with other department managers for acquisition of required personnelDetermines and assesses need for additional staff or consultants and makes appropriate staffing adjustments during project cycleDelegates tasks and responsibilities to personnelIdentifies and resolves issues and conflicts within project teamIdentifies and manages project dependencies and critical pathPlans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate toolsTracks project milestones and deliverablesDevelops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentationsManages changes in project scope, identifies potential concerns, and devises contingency plansQualifications:Associates degree required.

    Bachelors degree preferred.5 years required, 7 years' experience preferred of directing work in a large-scale project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

    Business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

    Prior experience with managing people and processes to achieve objectivesAbility to build effective business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectivesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze workflow and processes to provide productive service to internal and external customersInterpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills required, including strong human relations skills to supervise and develop assigned employees effectivelyAdept at conducting research into project-related issues and productsAbility to learn, understand, and apply new technologiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasksEffective written and verbal communication skillsExcellent computer skillsWesco International, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates ('Wesco') provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
