    Description

    At Farmer Brothers, the

    Production Lead

    will oversee the daily flow of production at our roastery.

    They will be responsible for the planning and prioritizing of coffee for each production line, as well as help to plan and prioritize roasting.

    Responsibilities
    Operates the Control Panel
    Read and understand production schedules
    Start up, operate, and shut down grinders properly
    Change grind settings when necessary
    Communicate with QA Tech to ensure ground coffee meets specifications
    Distribute roasted whole bean and ground coffee accurately
    Keep updated records of what roasts and amounts are in each silo
    Communicate with roasters, Production operators, and PMOs to complete schedules and maximize productivity.
    Ensure all crew members are following safety and GMP procedures
    Work with the maintenance team to ensure that all planned maintenance is performed with minimal interruption of production.
    Fill out all pertinent paperwork correctly
    Give verbal and/or written pass downs to arriving leads
    Are required to be informed of their food safety and regulatory responsibilities, their role in meeting the requirements of the Food Safety Code, and responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action and/or the designated Food
    Safety and/or GFSI qualified Individual.

    Education and Experience
    High School Diploma
    1- 4 years' experience in a production environment

    Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
