    We are currently seeking a full-time Site Medical Director to join our team at Mayo and Madison Correctional Institution located in Mayo, Florida; just 1 hour Southeast of Tallahassee.

    These two facilities are located 28 miles from one another.

    The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director.

    The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided, and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.


    Schedule:

    2 days per week at Madison Correctional Institute; Madison, FL and 2 days per week at Mayo Correctional Institute; Mayo, FL.

    1 day per week as a flex day (remote or facility) Qualifications

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
    • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
    • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
    • Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
    • Leadership/directorship experience preferred
    • Ability to pass credentialing and background checkCenturion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.
