    Position Summary

    "The Corporate & Credit Advisory delivers the Corporate Finance Solutions Group strategy, with a special focus on Financing Solutions and Investment Banking (e.g. M&A), by devising and implementing a comprehensive business plan, ensuring propositions are maintained and developed in order to deliver target, profit, revenue growth and margin. The job-holder is an integral member of the Corporate & Credit Advisory Group within the Products department who will be an effective team player and assume new responsibilities in other product lines, if needs be, to make a distinct contribution to the team's overall targets. The job-holder will need to manage, prioritize and balance a complex range of financial data and information, a variety of processes and systems, multi-channels, stakeholders, legal and regulatory issues in order to deliver sales targets, profit, revenue growth and margin.

    Position Duties / Responsibilities


    • Strategic Direction: Manage the development of the Corporate Finance Solutions strategy for a range of products and clients, which will deliver business performance targets. Flexible and accommodative to undertake projects/business opportunities that arise within the Corporate Finance Solutions Group within the Private Wealth department to ensure their duly execution in order to achieve both the area's and W's sales targets, revenue growth and business volumes.


    • Resource Management and Team Player: Effectively manage a wide range of resources – new business projects/opportunities, processes, systems and channels. Balance the needs and the resources, prioritizing projects/opportunities that arise within the Corporate Finance Solutions Group, distributing them amongst its team members, or taking ownership of the ones that have been handed over by another team member, following the supervisor's instructions at all times. This will ensure that all team resources are utilized to their maximum capacity to deliver against the team's revenue and volume growth.


    • Technical Knowledge and Know-How: Use extensive technical knowledge in financial markets and corporate finance to assist in the implementation of the financing solutions strategy for Private Wealth clients to be distributed both to clients directly and via their Family Offices or advisors.


    • Customer, Market, Products and Sector: Knowledge and understanding of our customers, our introducers, the market and our competitors. Assist in the development of innovative and creative propositions, processes, approaches and incentives to ensure profitable achievement of targets for financial products within the Private Wealth client segment. Knowledge of the private banking and corporate sectors is essential. Lateral thinking is encouraged. Work closely together with Business Intelligence and the Commercial Area in the identification of target market, distribution strategy, sales message, products and investment features and customer insight.


    • Salesforce Support: Ensures that regular contact with the salesforce is kept to offer technical advisory assistance via meetings, conferences and other communication channels. Gathers client, product and services feedback from the salesforce and incorporates it in the Corporate Finance solutions proposition to improve its attractiveness to the target customer sectors respectively. Identify opportunities for bespoke products tailored made for specific clients.


    • Stakeholder Management: Day to day stakeholder management of external relationships, including our investment partners (SGBM, Corporate Banking, International Desk) and internal ones, such as the Risk Department and the Private Banking Global Division. Building strong and effective collaborative relationships across the business and with key clients, family offices and advisors.


    • Administrative Duties: Implements all administrative steps necessary for the efficient running of the Corporate Finance products activity. Ensure all activity is compliant with SPBI's and Santander Group's policies and processes

    • Marketing: Designs and produces a specific and focused marketing strategy, including a communications and presentations framework, to assist in the implementation of the Financing Solutions business in order to increase its appeal and usage amongst a wide range of Private Bankers.


    • Risk, Compliance and legal management: Follow Company policy for all new products and initiatives where required. Work closely with Risk, Legal and Regulatory areas to ensure all changes are reviewed and compliant with our regulatory status and internal requirements. Identify potential issues and risks and manage effectively, keeping key stakeholders informed."

    Specialized Knowledge


    • Extensive knowledge and experience in credit and financing products, corporate finance and financial markets in general.


    • Detailed corporate finance and financing product understanding, linked specifically to Private Banking


    • In-depth knowledge of Latam Offshore Private Banking market, Financing and Corporate products and services


    • Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and tax issues

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience

    9+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
