Responsibilities Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.
SURFMEPP's primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship's expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).
SURFMEPP's BAWP Planners utilize Navy maintenance databases, local procedures and the Class Maintenance Plan to build and manage baseline maintenance packages in support of Surface Navy maintenance availabilities.
