    What can you expect?

    You will be responsible for the

    overall supervision and direction of Sheppard Pratt School in Lanham

    which operates on a year-round schedule.


    Specific responsibilities include:


    Facilitating operations and strategies for working closely with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Non Public School Approval Branch, referring schools and agencies, and clinical staff.

    Supervising, supporting, and evaluating all teaching staff.
    Coordinating curriculum development and extracurricular activities for students.
    Coordinating standards and expectations for behavioral management.

    What we need from you

    Master's degree in special education.

    Must be one of the following:
    An MSDE certified Supervisor of Special Education (preferred).
    An MSDE certified professional teacher in special education.

    3 years of teaching experience, including experience in a special education setting.

    Must have reliable transportation to travel to other Sheppard Pratt School locations and to the Towson campus for school leadership meetings.
