    As the


    Software Developer , you will utilize the Modeling & Simulation Enterprise Applications (MSEA) product suite, which supports modeling and simulation (M&S) environments, trainer systems, test and evaluation (T&E), analysis, live, virtual and constructive (LVC) simulation, and research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners.

    This will be an in-office position and not eligible for remote work. Candidate must be local to the Southern Maryland area.

    Evaluate and review C++ language code Programming using C++, Python 3, HTML
    Develop Parallel processes, threading, process communication
    Develop Web-based applications using development technology
    Collaborate with government and contractor team members to design future enhancements

    The NGTS is a continually evolving synthetic environment generator that supports multiple platform/services training, testing, analysis, and research and development.

    You will be developing software for this advanced synthetic training environment. The software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. You will support software development, software integration, customer training, and demonstrations.
    Requirements

    Who You Are:
    You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical/mathematical degree.

    Candidates without a degree may qualify with at least 1 year of C++ experience.
    You have 3 years of related work experience with scripting, database, and programming languages such as C++
    Experience with scripting, database, and programming in Python 3, and HTML is a plus
    Familiarity with time-series analysis is a plus
    You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
    You have professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision
    You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    Your organizational skills are impressive, allowing you to effectively manage competing priorities

    This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
