Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 2 years of recent pediatric CVPICU experience and an active compact or TN RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac conditions in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Day shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• May float to like units or campuses within 20 miles, but floating between campuses is rare
• Uses Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience is preferred
• Must provide advanced nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients in a high-acuity environment
• Holiday coverage required: must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's; if assignment includes 2 holidays, must work at least 1
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; no additional RTO will be granted after offer
• Returning travelers or employees must be separated for at least one year to be eligible
• Vaccination status must be included for consideration
• No local candidates within a 100-mile radius are eligible

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license; no pending licensure allowed
• Minimum of 2 years recent pediatric CVPICU experience required
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment; first-time travelers not accepted unless with 3+ years recent experience
• BLS certification required
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted except for certain positions
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Driver's license required for consideration
