Fabricator- Night Shift - Fargo, United States - Aerotek
Description
:
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of structural steel components for the manufacturing of PEM trailers and/or heater products.
Perform all duties in a safe manner and in compliance with the established JSA.
Ability to saw, drill, machine, shear and/or brake varying levels of structural steel with minimal supervision.
Ability to fabricate moderately complex items (skewed shear plates, blue print layout and assembly attachment) with supervision.
Interpret and apply shop drawing information, including weld symbol designations, with limited assistance.
Practice and promote Safety and Housekeeping.
Prompt and dependable attendance.
Other Responsibilities:
Load and unload fabrication equipment to make cuts and bends accordingly
Will float between press brake, shear, plasma, and waterjet (willing to train if they have experience with at least 2 of these)
Setup equipment between production runs
Must be able to read a tape measure and identify the different types and thicknesses of sheetmetal
Use overhead cranes when needed to move equipment
Skills:
Blueprint, Shear, Press brake, Laser, Fabrication, Tape measure
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
6 months of experience operating at least 2 of the following (press brake, shear, saw, plasma, waterjet)
Willing to learn other equipment
Able to read and setup off of a blueprint is preferred
