- Apprentices will be trained and will perform service on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
- Apprentices will participate in certified trainings through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
- Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
- You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
- You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience servicing light and heavy commercial HVAC equipment.
- Must be willing to join, and be accepted by, the Local 290 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.
- Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug test.
- Passion and desire to learn and apply on the job.
- Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital and written skills.
- Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.
- Prioritize safety in all forms.

Required:
This is a Bargaining Unit position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local 290 apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union. The Union has its own entry, qualification and screening programs. More information is available at .
Hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
