Event Set Up Attendant - Lakeland, United States - JMI Resource

Description

• Reports to Operations Manager/Supervisor.
• Cleans and maintains ALL areas of the event/facilities inside and out.
• Sets up and tears down all events according to event needs and the standards of the conference center/operations.
• Cleans and maintains conference event/facilities including storage and staging areas to standards of event.
• Responsible for the facility-required janitorial duties before and after events.
• Maintain, assemble, and store facility equipment.
• Continually assess and ensure employee and patron safety in the arena.
• Prepares all event space prior to events.
• Tears down all event space after events.
• Follows Event Orders.
• Maintains knowledge of various types of set-ups.
• Assists the banquet servers/captains with the clearing tables as needed.
• Assists the A/V team with setting up equipment.
• Assists with all set-up functions may include, but are not limited to, setting tables, chairs, draping tables, and any decor.
• Removes centerpieces/decor/tables/chairs after events and stores appropriately.
• Removes soil linens and stores appropriately.
• Attends required division and department meetings.
• Maintains the cleanliness of storage rooms.
• Assembles dance floors.
• Arranges buffets, stages and podiums.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 6+ months experience.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Must be flexible.
• Must have reliable transportation.
