Job Title: Registered Nurse - Psychiatric (RN Psych)

Duration: 12 weeks

Location: Yankton, SD

Shift: Days, Nights 3*12hr.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in psychiatric care to join our team.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Essential Functions:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patients' mental and physical health, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
Provide support and education to patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention when needed.
Foster a therapeutic and safe environment for patients.

Education:

Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program

Experience required:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing.

Certificate/License:

RN– Registered Nurse for SD or Compact
BLS– Basic Life Support
Nonviolent Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training (CPI)
