Job DescriptionSUMMARY
This position will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or pallets to be moved or pulled for shipment.
· Loads and unloads materials onto or from tractor trailers.
· Loads pallets onto truck and inspects strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
· Verifies materials loaded or unloaded against work order or bill of lading.
· Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
· Makes partial racks when necessary to complete shipping order.
· Organizes and randomly inspects inventory on yard.
· Operates industrial truck or electric hoist safely and accurately to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATE and/or LICENSE
Fork Lift Certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
