Summary :
The financial analyst plays a pivotal role within our company, central to our financial operations and project accounting functions.

As the primary liaison between Cosm and our customers' financial representatives, you'll spearhead accounts receivable, while supporting the project accounting process for the company.

This position offers a unique chance to deepen your expertise in fundamental project accounting principles and business procedures, all while supporting our companys dynamic growth trajectory.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you'll work closely with finance team members and cross-functional partners across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Timecard Processing & Payroll Review:
Process and verify accurate timecard submission, ensuring accurate coding and approval.
Prepare accurate journal entries to allocate timecard expenses to the appropriate projects.
Generate and review payroll entries into accounting systems.
Liaise with the payroll clerk to promptly address and resolve any discrepancies identified.


Project Accounting:
Facilitate the processing of new customer orders.
Conduct reviews of project contracts to ensure accurate incorporation of relevant information into the accounting system.
Analyze project specifics to determine deliverables and apply requisite revenue recognition methods.
Promptly adjust project details to accommodate any change orders that may arise.
Facilitate effective communication with other corporate entities to coordinate intercompany efforts.


Accounts Receivable:
Generate and send invoices to customers, adhering to established timelines.
Record customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger.
Follow up on overdue payments and resolve any payment discrepancies.
Generate financial reports pertaining to accounts receivable as needed.
Maintain organized and up-to-date customer records.


Other:
Prepare and review documentation for internal audits.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency within the accounting function.
Offer support with various business-related tasks as required.


Experience:
Associate degree or 2 years of relevant college experience.4+ years of accounting experience.
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Project accounting experience preferred.
Experience with Dynamics SL or Sage Intact preferred.
Experience using preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
