    **Overview**

    The Debt Capital Markets Team within BMO Capital Markets is looking for an Analyst or Associate to work on the origination and execution of Liability Management transactions for investment grade and high yield fixed income issuers. As part of a growing platform, the Analyst or Associate will assist senior level Liability Management and Debt Capital Markets bankers in providing debt advisory and liability management solutions to corporate clients.

    **Responsibilities**

    Assess clients' liability management objectives, and help generate strategic solutions and facilitate decision making processes using broad understanding of Corporate Finance, Accounting and Debt Capital Markets

    Conceptualize and build client presentations, and prepare and distribute market commentary of Liability Management deals

    Maintain Liability Management database and distribute new related deal information

    Build and maintain bespoke Liability Management models and improve existing analytical tools

    Interface with Debt Capital Markets teams on the design, proposal and execution of various Liability Management strategies and support on-going client dialogue and marketing efforts

    Prepare sales memos for BMOs fixed income salesforce and traders in anticipation of live Liability Management transactions

    Interface with clients' treasury and corporate finance staff, as well as legal counsel and co-dealer managers during execution of transactions

    **Qualifications**

    Prior relevant fixed income experience strongly desired

    Series 7, 79 & 63 desired

    Strong experience with Excel, Bloomberg, PowerPoint, Word required

    Strong quantitative modelling skills and attention to detail

    Analytical and fluid with numbers and mathematical and statistical concepts. Able to understand and deconstruct capital structures

    Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial markets and corporate tax fundamentals

    Relevant Accounting, Economics, Finance and Mathematic courses as well as skills and concepts desired

    Broad understanding of fixed income public security pricing methodologies desired

    Experience with Fixed Income documentation, including related execution and debt covenant considerations

    Problem solving mindset and team player with desire to add value and contribute. Able to prioritize work and multi-task responsibilities, including working for multiple people

    Reliable, ambitious, motivated, and hard-working with the passion to learn and excel in a demanding role

    Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

    Salary Range

    $90,000-110,000 USD

    Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
