Job summary
We are seeking a Highway Emergency Response Operator to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a HERO Operator, you will assist motorists and perform incident management services during assigned shifts. You will provide clear and accurate information regarding incidents using standard protocol to communicate with TMC Operators, law enforcement, ambulance, fire department, or towing services.Responsibilities include clearing lane blocking traffic incidents assisting other emergency response personnel establishing traffic control scenes providing basic first aid services changing flat tires adding air to low tires adding gasoline adding water radiators battery jump starts vehicle push maneuvers calling for towing service transporting stranded motorists drinking water.
