    Nature and Scope:

    The Licensed Vocational Nurse delivers nursing care through the use of the nursing process under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

    Location:

    We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA

    Compensation:

    Compensation Philosophy: We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience.

    Compensation Range: $ $ 45.90 / hour

    Job Status / Shift Information:

    Per Diem and Shifts Vary

    Qualifications:

    Education

    Graduate from an accredited School of nursing, maintains a current California LVN license, and maintains a current CPR certification, IV certification or willingness to obtain.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Has signed and is aware of professional responsibility to report suspected cases of abuse. Demonstrates a willingness to learn, accept change, and update knowledge of nursing practice as evidenced by continuing education.

    Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum

    Responsibilities:
    • Performs assigned portions of the initial assessment of patient needs, including bio-physical, psychosocial, environmental, discharge planning, self-care and education and performs reassessment each shift, as well as upon transfer and discharge.
    • Assists in the determination of the effectiveness of patient care through patient interviews, assessment and patient compliance to the plan of care and adjusts patient care to meet changing needs.
    • Modifies the interview technique by identifying the physical, psychosocial and educational needs common to Neonate, Infant and Children.
    • Observes parent/child interaction and childs general appearance. Assesses safety considerations.
    • Assess head circumference, height, weight, and immunization status.
