- Inspect facility buildings, structures, equipment, and grounds to determine the condition and need for maintenance and repairs
- Develop cost estimates for operation, maintenance, and repair work and approve purchase requisitions for supplies, tools, equipment, and materials
- Prepare inventories for parts, maintains records, and provide status updates to administration on an ongoing basis
- Participate in, and provide input to, various facility committees
- Conduct meetings with staff, both individually and as a team
- Strong knowledge and understanding of worksite safety, general and preventative equipment maintenance procedures, operational safety requirements, and certifications, as well as building systems, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, plumbing, building fixtures, and equipment
- Ability to determine budgetary needs using cost analysis methods (e.g., square footage estimates, contractor bid estimates, architectural/engineering estimates, unit pricing, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to operation, maintenance, and repair tasks

In this critical role, you will provide management and supervisory oversight to the Plant Operations team and ensure protection and upkeep of the physical plant, campus structures, utility services, and equipment servicing for the Richmond Campus, which is a 29-acre property housing over 1,200 employees, and the campus comprises offices, state-of-the-art laboratories, and a warehouse.
