Software Engineer/ Software Engineer
in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a new Ground program.
Morrisville, NC,
Fairfax, VA, Linthicum, MD

What you'll get to do?
As a Software Engineer on this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for a Ground Segment.
We have multiple Software Engineering positions across the Ground program, on contract to deliver the ground segment for a restricted space program.
The successful candidate will have broad Software Engineering lifecycle knowledge, with the ability to digest changes and present them to the technical and management teams in concise briefings.
The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to IPT leads, and the customer.
The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast paced environment that continues to grow.
Experience with system modeling is preferred.Qualifications
This position may be performed at a
Associate Software Engineer
level or
Software Engineer
level depending on the qualifications, skills, and experience of the candidate.
Associate
Software Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience
Software Engineer:
B achelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree

Salary Range:
$65,500 - $108,100
Salary Range 2:
$79,300 - $130,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
