- Compile and perform analysis of internal financial forecasts (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.)
- Understand and communicate forecast and budget variances to senior management
- Evaluate financial analysis results; recommend proactive actions/changes to achieve financial targets and strategic business objectives
- Compile, monitor, and analyze a consolidated annual budget plan in conjunction with Corporate Accounting
- Lead the team in the development and refinement of financial and operational reports. Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of all financial results
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements and reports for filing with regulatory agencies based on application of relevant accounting standards
- Perform profit & loss (P&L) and balance sheet analysis, including variance analysis
- Understand and track financial performance
- Work closely with those in commercial finance to understand budget and forecast drivers, developing summary explanations for presentation to senior management
- Recommend financial strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results in alignment with organizational objectives
- Understand and participate in reviewing the company's tax planning strategies
- Lead and/or complete special projects

Provide oversight and management of all accounting and related financial operations for multiple significant and/or complex areas; this includes multiple accounting functions including but not limited to general accounting, accounts receivable/payable, cost accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting.
Has accountability for managing and/or performing financial activities in the following areas: financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and forecasting for consolidated Stremicks Heritage Foods, Western Quality Foods, and Jasper Products, external financial reporting, budgeting, and tax activities as requested. Provide general financial support, analysis, and recommendations to multiple levels of finance and business management.
