To support their continuous improvement journey, we are in search of a dynamic and seasoned EHS Assistant Manager emphasizing environmental compliance and safety to join this exceptional team.

    Position Overview:

    As an EHS Assistant Manager specializing in environmental compliance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's compliance with relevant regulations, fostering a safety culture, and steering environmental sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs, managing tasks such as waste management, regulatory reporting, safety protocols, and project management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the process of waste shipment, ensuring compliance with RCRA and DOT regulations, and conducting essential training for relevant staff.
    • Manage permits and regulatory reporting, encompassing annual permit evaluations, PTIO, EPA submissions, and stormwater exposure assessments.
    • Handle hazardous materials from handling to disposal, following proper procedures and ensuring regulatory adherence.
    • Implement safety protocols complying with OSHA regulations, including conducting routine audits and maintaining documentation.
    • Coordinate workers' compensation claims and ergonomic evaluations to enhance workplace safety and diminish injury risks.
    • Establish safety procedures in manufacturing settings, like machine guarding and lockout/tagout (LOTO) processes.
    • Conduct tests and offer regulatory training to employees to ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
    • Lead injury root cause analyses and resolution efforts utilizing methodologies such as PDCA to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Manage ISO 14001 certification and ensure conformity with environmental management standards.
    • Perform audits to evaluate alignment with internal policies and external regulations, pinpointing areas for enhancement.
    • Drive endeavors to attain carbon neutrality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions within company operations.
    • Engage in project management tasks associated with EHS initiatives, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to fulfill objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
    • Solid comprehension of RCRA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations, backed by relevant training certifications.
    • Experience in overseeing permits, regulatory reporting, and conducting audits.
    • Proficiency in injury root cause analysis techniques and resolution methods.
    • Familiarity with ISO 14001 standards and environmental management systems.
    • Excellent project management abilities, adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal aptitude, proficient in effective cross-departmental collaboration.
    • Demonstrated history of propelling continuous improvement initiatives and accomplishing tangible outcomes.
    • Dedication to fostering a safety culture, environmental responsibility, and sustainability.
