Job Summary
The department of Physics and Biophysics at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank.All conventional areas of physics shall be considered though some emphasis will be given to applicants that can contribute to the Biophysics areas and work well within a top ranked health sciences university.
Responsibilities
- Teaching Expectation: - 40
Teaching responsibilities include lecture and or lab courses within the undergraduate degree program in physics and also core science courses including astronomy. - Research expectation: - 50
The candidate is expected to develop an independent, novel research program, display a commitment to excellence in the research area by successful grant and publication record. - Service Expectation: - 10
Service to the university entails work on department, college, and university committees, work groups,
Candidates should have a PhD Degree in Physics in a fundable research area.
Evidence of ability as a teacher; Evidence of activity as scholar;
Evidence successful experience (which will necessarily waived for those just entering academic profession who meet all other requirements); Desirable personal qualities judged on basis personal interview complete biographical data recommendations.
