    The LOGISTICS COORDINATOR is responsible for scheduling and monitoring all shipments. This role entails tracking shipments to ensure they are delivered safely to the clients in a timely manner. In addition, the LOGISTICS COORDINATOR will collaborates with various departments to communicate and receive scheduling information.

    This hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, or until the last shipment has left the facility. Based on business need, there will be times when additional hours may be needed to work.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Procatively arrange freight and parcel shipments daily
    • Make parcel shipment labels using Fed Ex and UPS ship managers
    • Monitor shipments, costs, & timelines
    • Preparing invoices for completed job orders
    • Track shipments and resolve shipment errors
    • Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure prompt shipments
    • Keep detailed records of shipment details, such as weights and dimensions
    • Negotiate and seek cost-effective and reliable options for freight
    • Process freight/ parcel claims when issues with delivery arise
    • Communicate shipping details to customers and Sales department

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma/ GED required
    • Previous customer service experience
    • 1-2 years of logistics experience highly preferred

    • Strong time management

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment meeting tight deadlines

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment is typically fast paced and requires multi-tasking with minimal supervision. To ensure all duties and tasks are completed by the end of the working day, it is essential to prioritize work that must be done on a timely matter. This position is in a warehouse setting and requires to be onsite.
