    JOB SUMMARY

    The Wound Pros' Clinical Education Specialist will serve in a combination role. You will function as a Registered Nurse who treats patients in the field across various markets and assigned states at a reduced capacity and act as a Clinical Education Specialist for the Training and Education Department. The RN provides advanced wound care services, durable medical equipment, and other services to patients across various healthcare facilities. By leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence, the RN is expected to exemplify our company's mission to heal wounds and prevent amputations across multiple healthcare settings. The Clinical Education Specialist provides ongoing training and education support to clinical providers and associated stakeholders.

    WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

    • Host any/all Training and Education sessions with new and established providers via Zoom (Biweekly check-in, Documentation Reviews,
    • Curate and develop training and education materials, policies and procedures, and workflows as appropriate
    • Present educational material at Case Conferences as requested
    • Provide educational support to clinicians as needed via Slack, phone, etc
    • Attend and participate in department (and related) meetings as invited
    • Host one-on-one meetings with clinical staff as needed
    • Participate in group projects, assignments, etc
    • Contribute to creating and updating education material using the most recent evidence-based practice techniques and information.
    • Abide to the clinical department's policies and procedures
    • Perform complete physical exams of patients
    • Conducted initial and follow-up visits, collaborating with the assigned supervising nurse practitioner/physician assistant via telehealth as needed.
    • Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to treat the patient best.
    • Perform wound care procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for a plan of care in accordance with the Wound Pros 7-Step Treatment Protocol.
    • Perform a comprehensive plan of care for documented patient diagnoses
    • Recommendations for prescription of required medications and/or Surgical/Wound Care Dressings to facilitate wound healing and/or wound prevention
    • Request for Durable Medical Equipment per company's guidelines and protocols
    • Assure all patients are delighted by exemplifying Wound Pros standards for patient care
    • Depending on the state's specific scope of practice, wounds may be conservatively debrided by various methods during the patient visit.
    • Application of topical wound care and other wound management products
    • Notate findings and treatment course in-patient chart, including follow-up notes
    • Actively participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals
    • Travel to patients' homes and/or long-term care facilities will be required. A 50-mile travel radius from the clinician's home is expected
    • Travel assignments to new market areas per company's needs and growth
    • Meet the documentation requirements of the Medical Records Department
    • Meet metrics designed for field clinicians, including maximizing patient visits, both telehealth and face-to-face, utilizing treatment modalities to demonstrate efficient wound healing and minimize time-to-healing rate
    • Supervise Licensed Vocational Nurses and Medical Assistants as the need arises.

    WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED

    • RN must be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse Program
    • Current active license to practice as an RN in the State
    • At least four years experience in Education and Training.
    • Must have prior Wound Care experience and/or Wound Care Certification
    • Full-time experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus
    • Valid and unrestricted driver's license
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current malpractice insurance

    • Proficient in the following: RITA/ WP APP, ZOOM, Google Sheets, Docs and Drive, etc.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Set forth an approachable and respectful demeanor while responding to clinicians and other members of the team's questions, concerns, etc.
    • Proficient with the use of the internet, research tools, etc, to contribute to department goals
    • Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to reposition patients
