    Description

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Serves meals to residents in the dining rooms and/or resident rooms and checks for seconds and substitutions.
    • Ensures resident rooms and dining rooms are correctly set up and cleaned after use, including tasks such as rolling flatware, setting tables, maintaining tabletop condiments and centerpieces and other duties as assigned.
    • Assists and performs other general cleaning duties which includes dishes, equipment, dining room, floors, tables, work areas, etc.
    • Puts away groceries and supplies.
    • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the facility's Chef or Dietary Services Manager.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Oriented towards serving others and helping residents.
    • Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates.
    • Must have fundamental understanding of sanitations, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
    • Must have regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
    • Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
    • Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
    • Persons who have been found guilty by a court of low of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in the position.

    Education and/or Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior food service, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred, but not required. CPR certification and Food handlers' card preferred.
