    Description

    Growing Food company and producer of premium baked goods products in Broadview, IL is looking for a Plant Manager to add to their team.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the plant floor while increasing production and revenue. You will manage scheduling, oversee daily operating reports, and increase production by providing leadership and developing strategic plans

    • Monitor all operations and processes
    • Prepare operating reports and budgets
    • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety regulations
    • Ensure all compliance needs are met
    • Manage scheduling for a fully operational team
    • Oversee daily floor operations
    • Develop strategies to increase productivity and production
    • Oversee all shipments, incoming inventory, and storage operations
    • Optimize productive time for employees by eliminating unnecessary processes
    • Practice conflict resolution among departments and employees
    • Report and track expenses to reduce costs
    • Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve
    • Hire and train new employees
    • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment
    • Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

    • Experience: At least 3 years of previous experience as a plant manager, supervisor, or related position.
    • Experience managing a Baking facility in a Food manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Food operations manufacturing experience is required.
    • Experience with high-speed packaging and automation
    • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent combination of education and related experience in food manufacturing environment (bakery industry preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
    • Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams
    • Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
    • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment
    • Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management Must understand FDA guidelines and company policies. Mathematical skills
    • Bilingual preferred

    Compensation: $150,000-$175,000 base plus bonus
