About the Position

The Clinician (Licensed) is part of a team dedicated to providing adolescents with support for effective, long-lasting change. The work environment offers solution-focused counseling, skills-based counseling, substance use counseling, Dialectical behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention. Ideal candidates enjoy effecting change and working autonomously or as part of a team.

We envision a future where youth are connected to the community, contributing members, and accountable for their behavior. Our team comprises behavioral health technicians, medical assistants, clinicians, nurses, psychiatrists, and physicians working together to offer medical and mental health support to adolescents and families.

8-hour or 10-hour shifts are available for this position.

About The Juvenile Probation Department

The Juvenile Probation Department of the Judicial Branch in Maricopa County focuses on providing innovative and efficient juvenile justice services. Position Qualifications

Education:

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

Experience:

Two years of full-time post master's behavioral health and human service work experience

Other Requirements:

Licensed in Arizona by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health
Valid Arizona Driver License
Must pass a background check

Our Preferred Candidate has:

Experience working with at-risk youth

Essential Job Tasks

(This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties)

Conducts therapeutic and psychosocial counseling with adolescents
Assists adolescents with skill building
Coordinates treatment planning and crisis evaluations
Conducts group counseling on mental health topics
Produces informative notes documenting progress
Conducts training for staff
Coordinates discharge with community providers

Working conditions

This position requires occasional weekend work. The role may involve sitting, standing, or walking and using hands for tasks. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Additional Information

Successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a thorough background check. Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County.
