    Assistant Operations Manager

    Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Assistant Operations Manager in Ticketing and Patron Services. The Assistant Operations Manager of Ticketing & Patron Services will work in an office and performance environment in the Wheelwright Auditorium as well as in other venues on and off campus. Work will include regular participation in night and weekend events. The Assistant Operations Manager reports to and works closely with the Associate Director of Ticketing & Patron Services during office hours but must be able to exercise independent judgment in performing a wide variety of duties outside of regular office hours when the Manager is not present.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    · Supervise the day-to-day fiscal and administrative operations of the University Box Office;

    · Perform all ticket system functions;

    · Process the hiring, scheduling, and payroll of student staff;

    · Manage general, personnel, and fiscal records for the University Box Office;

    · Act as a communication link between external and internal constituencies and University support services for Ticketing & Patron Services;

    · Develop, implement, and analyze strategies for Front-of-House event management in conjunction with University event production departments (including but not limited to Theatre, Music, Cultural Arts, and Philanthropy) and outside clients;

    · Perform all duties as Purchasing Card liaison for Scheduling and Event Services;

    · Maintain University Event & Production Services (UEPS) social media pages;

    · Develop, implement, and analyze emergency venue management and fire preparedness plans and trainings. Coordinate with Public Safety, Fire Safety, and Emergency Management departments.

    · Create, semi-annually review, update, and implement Ticketing & Patron Services survey; and

    · In coordination with the University Events Manager, train and supervise student staff of the evening & weekend event support call center.

    Requirements : A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and relevant program experience is required. Must be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in South Carolina. Experience with public venue and ticketing system operations is preferred. Previous bookkeeping, sales and office management experience is also preferred.

Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Nights, weekends, some holidays and irregular hours required.
