- Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager assists in managing unit personnel and the nursing unit environment.
- Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist with hiring and terminating staff, evaluating and mentoring staff competency, and assuming budgetary responsibility.
- The position requires promoting a healthcare culture that values growth and input from frontline staff and requires an empowered leader who facilitates the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
- Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.
- Experience: 2 or more years of ICU, MSICU, or CICU nursing experience are required. 1 or more years of management/supervisory experience, such as charge nurse, are preferred.
- BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
- ACLS certification is required within three months of hire.
