- Assist the Senior Regional HR Manager in day-to-day HR activities and initiatives
- Provide day-to-day support in their Franklin Furnace, Ohio location, with occasional support for their Ceredo, WV location as well
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and conducting background checks
- Support onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
- Maintain employee records and HR databases accurately and confidentially
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs and addressing employee inquiries
- Coordinate employee training and development programs
- Assist in handling employee relations issues and disciplinary actions as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HR initiatives align with business objectives
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department as required
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred is required
- 1+ years of experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, logistics or similar industries
- Experience in recruiting is essential
- Knowledge of union policies and procedures is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ideally has exposure to Kronos and UKG, but not required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Motivated to grow and advance in the HR field
