A Mac Specialist is essential for keeping our macOS environment in top shape. This role involves scripting, device management, and utilizing tools like Jamf to ensure the security and efficiency of our Mac Systems.

Responsibilities of a macOS Engineer include:

• Scripting and Automation: Develop and implement advanced scripts (python / bash) to automate tasks and streamline Mac System Processes. Collaborate with teams to integrate automation solutions for improved efficiency.
• Jamf Management: Utilize Jamf Pro expertise to deploy, configure, and manage Mac devices. Stay updated on latest Jamf and Apple features for optimized device management.
• Security and Networking: Implement and maintain security measures for Mac systems. Manage network configurations for optimal performance and user experience.
• Technical Support: Provide prompt and effective technical support for Mac-related issues. Develop user-friendly guides and documentation.
• System Optimization: Implement strategies for efficient Mac system management. Identify and implement optimizations for better performance.
• Collaboration: Work with IT and other departments to tailor Mac solutions. Participate in cross-functional projects for Mac system integration.
• User Authentication and Identity Management: Enhance identity management using Azure AD. Spearhead advancements in user authentication and single sign-on solutions.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Mac Engineer with expertise in scripting, Jamf, and system optimization.
• Strong understanding of macOS, certificates, networking, and security principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or in a group.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with integrating Mac systems with Azure Active Directory.
• Knowledge of products like Microsoft Defender, Jamf Protect, O365 suite, Zscaler, Cisco Secure, Citrix Workspace, and Jamf ADCS.
• Experience in hardware procurement and lifecycle management.
