Description

We are looking for a Shop Fabrication worker for a manufacturing partner specializing in exotic metal applications within the medical, nuclear, aerospace, and industrial markets. As a machine operator, you will set up and operate machines, equipment, or use of power tools, hand tools and other instruments to form and fabricate tube and sheet metal components.
Descriptions and Essential Responsibilities:

• Lay out, measure and mark sheet metal and reference lines on material for fabrication.
• Form sheet metal using rolling or cold drawing mills.
• Use manual equipment or processes to cut, bend and/or straighten sheet metal.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, polish, clean edges, seams, joins and surface finish.
• Fasten seems or joints together with welds using sim-automatic weld mills to assemble components into rolled products.
• Inspect finished product for dimensional conformance and surface quality finish.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with coworkers, understand, and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• At least 2 years of industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or metal shop experience or related experience.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
