- 2-year Associate's degree in and Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent relatable experience is required
- 2+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical abilities and trouble-shooting techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of performing process engineering tasks proportionate to their experience
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
- Must have the ability to work effectively within a team
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- Must be able to comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures
- Experience with review/inspection of mechanical assemblies, optics and/or soldering
- Six Sigma certification
- Ability to support the organizational culture and build morale

Job DescriptionPrimarily responsible for assistance in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing processes for manufacturing of night vision system. Includes optimization of manufacturing processes, implementation of cost reduction opportunities (yield and productivity improvements, waste elimination) and review/disposition of night vision systems and components.
A successful candidate will have proficiency in the use of hand and machine tools, precision gauges, test instruments, and process equipment. They need to have an understanding and skills in effectively applying Six-Sigma tools to benefit the organization and customers.
Additionally, the candidate will be versed in Lean tools and their application to reduce waste. This is a hands-on engineering technician position. The individual can expect to spend >70% of their time engaging directly with the factory teams on the shop floor to be most effective. Candidate will perform other duties as assigned.
